. This is a featherweight fight, meaning 145 pounds. This is Stevenson's first fight at featherweight after spending the majority of his career at lightweight. The referee in charge of the action is Keith Peterson.

ROUND 1 - Vazquez starts out in the southpaw position. Stevenson rushes in and Vazquez hits a blast double. However, Stevenson nearly locks up a straight arm bar, but lets it go. Vazquez nearly sits for an arm bar, but gives it up and scrambles back on top. Vazquez working on top trying to pass and the referee decides to stand them up. Nice left hook by Vazquez finds the mark. Left over hand to low single works for Vazquez. Vazquez looking for a knee cut across pass, but gets put in full butterfly guard.

ROUND 2 - Both fighters trading jabs, but nothing significant lands for either. Hard right hand now for Vazquez. Stevenson nearly gets caught in a tight guillotine, but goes back down and rolls to escape. Now Stevenson is pressing Vazquez into the fence making tepid takedown attempts. Vazquez gets the trip and in a scramble takes the back of Stevenson. Nice sacrifice throw from Stevenson, but they both stand immediately.

ROUND 3 - Vazquez opens the round landing with two straight lefts. Hard inside leg kick from Stevenson finds the mark. Failed outside trip attempt from Stevenson. More one or two shot combinations from Vazquez and Stevenson isn't throwing anything. Now he lands an inside leg kick. Now a short right from Stevenson. Another inside leg kick. Now a left hand. Right over hand now from Vazquez. This has turned into an ugly slop fest.
