RBC Capital Markets Hires Three Bankers for U.S. Business

RBC Capital Markets hired Joseph Carey, Doug Yablonski and David Nadelman as New York-based managing directors to expand its U.S. investment-banking business.

The Royal Bank of Canada (RY) unit hired Yablonski to focus on industrials and diversified services, and aerospace, defense and government sectors within its mergers group, the Toronto-based bank said in an e-mailed statement today. Yablonski has 15 years mergers experience, including at Harris Williams and Bank of America.

Nadelman was hired to cover various industries within RBC’s loan capital markets group, including energy, power and utilities and infrastructure finance. He has 15 years experience in loan capital markets, with his prior post as head of loan syndicate with Royal Bank of Scotland .

Carey was hired from Stifel, Nicolaus & Co. to join RBC’s exploration and production team within its energy group. He has more than two decades of investment banking experience, including with Bank of America, Merrill Lynch and First Boston.

Royal Bank is Canada’s largest lender by assets.
