5 reasons to see Maroon 5 at Cruzan tonight

By Leslie Gray Streeter   |   Music   |  August 30, 2011

Maroon 5: From left musicians Matt Flynn, Mikey Madden, Adamn Levine, James Valentine, and Jesse Carmichael.

More: Train gets in touch with band’s roots – San Francisco

When they play Cruzan Amphiteatre tonight, Maroon 5 might be sharing the bill with Train, their fellow Californian hit makers, but there’s a whole host of reasons that the band, known for hits like She Will Be Loved and Misery, are worth the trip all by themselves.

In fact, we’ve got five, one for every Maroon.

1) They sure can craft a clever pop song, a combination of catchy lyrics, irresistible hooks and the vocal blessing that is front man Adam Levine’s tenor.

2) They’ve recently partnered with drink maker Snapple to produce a special edition tea called “Tea Will Be Loved” (aww!). The limited edition flavor will provide 1.75 million meals for Feeding America.

3) Speaking of Levine, he was the winning judge on NBC’s The Voice, as the celebrity coach of champion Javier Colon.

4) Because it’s never been easy to figure out what exactly the lyrics for Harder To Breathe are, and you need a new song for karaoke. so you might as well go and figure them out.

5) Because everyone needs a good sing-along.
