Too bad there are so many people like Patricia Lavins (Sept. 16 "Couldn't be worse choice than inflammatory letter about president on 9/11"), who was critical of my letter.
Like everyone else I was shocked by the events of Sept. 11, 2001, and it was not "preventable" as she contends. I am also of an age that I remember the dark days we had after Pearl Harbor.
When the history books are written in the future, they will mention the policies perpetuated by the present occupant of the White House, whose policies lean toward communism and were intended to bring down our great country. She can say an old vet told her that years ago.
